Our Team

Dr Darren T. Seet - Veterinarian BSc BVMS DipSc

I was born and raised in the mining town of Newman located in the heart of the Pilbara. My parents worked for BHP and I completed both my primary and secondary schooling until I left to Perth to complete my tertiary studies at Murdoch University's School of Veterinary Sciences. Following graduation, my veterinary career started as a mixed animal veterinarian in the outer south eastern corridor of Perth. I remained in my first job for 4 years and gained valuable experience treating a variety of animals including horses, cattle, sheep/goats, alpacas, reptiles, wildlife and of course cats and dogs!
I thoroughly enjoyed mixed animal practice but decided to specialize in small animals (cat and dogs) and accepted a full time position with Vet Co-op at Winthrop Vet. I have various interests in veterinary science but have taken a greater focus in surgery, in particular orthopaedics and gastro-enterology. I have two wonderful, yet mischievous, canine companions, ‘Axel’ the Doberman and ‘Stevie’ the Kelpie-cross who keeps my wife and I busy going for walks and exploring the lovely surroundings of Perth.
In my time away from the practice, I enjoy tennis, shooting hoops, kayaking and renovations with my family.

Dr Kira-Lee Procter - Veterinarian

I grew up down south in WA on a farm, from an early age I wanted to become a Veterinarian. I graduated in 2015 from Murdoch University and joined the Vet Co-op team. Currently I have family pets down south (including a very sassy cow named Millie and a lovely old cat called Nala)  but no 'fur babies' with me here in Perth. I love working with animals and look forward to seeing you and your pet in the clinic!

Renee Sherburn (Registered Veterinary Nurse)

I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. My first pet was a bubbly Bichon Frise called Jack who was a frequent visitor at the vet with skin allergies! It was Jack who inspired me to become a Vet Nurse and I graduated from Polytechnic West in 2013. Unfortunately Jack passed away in 2015 and I don't currently have any pets at home, however I do have my cheeky horse Choco who lives on a property in Oakford. In my spare time I like to train my horse and catch up with my friends and family.
